All About Me

On February 6, 1995, I began my journey called life in a small town called Peachland, NC where I currently live with my parents and sister. By not being exposed to the social world as much as others, I made the decision to follow my dreams and give back to my community. As a young child, I was quite unique and very gifted. From singing in front of hundreds of people around the age of five and six to presenting motivational speeches at twelve years old. I carried a boldness and confidence like no other. Around that age, I wanted to be a teacher, lawyer, and psychologist and that career path continues to change now that I'm older.

In 2013, I graduated from Anson High School as an Honors student, then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to study Psychology. (Go Tarheels!) This experience was a major setback for a great comeback for me. During my two years there, I failed two classes total and ended up on academic probation twice. On the second offense, I became Ineligible and had to return home from school. On top of academic probation, I had a huge balance that I couldn't afford to pay. As I returned home, I had no job, no money, nor an education. I felt like a failure. A year later, I was blessed with a job through Union County Public Schools and another chance at education at South Piedmont Community College where I will be graduating from in December 2017. I must say, this journey has not been easy. My journey has taught me a lot about myself. In this journey, I discovered "Whatever your it is, FINISH it!" The "it" is any and every challenge I've faced that required me to overcome it. One of my many "its'" is almost finished and I have many more to come.

After graduation, I plan to attend North Carolina Agricultural & Technical University to obtain a Bachelors degree in Social Work where I will be able to express my passion for people. I've always had a passion for helping others. In this profession, I plan to assist others with the challenges they face and accomplish their "its."

Some addition things about myself are: I enjoy singing and I am currently a vocalist for a wedding planner as well as a few gospel groups. I am a motivational speaker and love to encourage others. Also, I love spending time with family, friends, church family, and God.
